NASS Crisis: 2019 Presidency Tussle At Play- Sanni

Senator Shehu Sanni representing Kaduna central at the National Assembly, has disclosed that the crisis in the senate may not be unconnected to the 2019 presidential ambitions of some politicians.

While assuring his constituents of his commitment to their cause, Sanni noted that he would not allow the interest of the people to suffer irrespective of the level of politics being played in the senate.

Leadership reports that Sani, who is also the president, Civil Rights Congress (CRC), however explained that plans are in progress to ensure that the ongoing friction between the senators and within the APC as a party, is amicably resolved.

In a show of loyalty to the new senate president, he said: “I, Senator Shehu Sani acknowledge and accept the Senate presidency of Senator Bukola Saraki.”

Atiku Abubakar, one of those purportedly in contention for the 2019 presidency, only recently revealed his true intentions.
