An Islamic centre which comprise a Juma’at mosque and an Islamiya school in Ruru village, Dutse local government area has been named after the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari.
In a report on Daily Trust, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Jigawa state, Alhaji Nasiru Haladu Dano, yesterday, July 7, unveiled the Islamic centre.
At the grand opening, the centre was named after the president’s wife by the Jigawa state Deputy Governor, Barrister Ibrahim Hassan Hadeija.
Speaking at the event, Dano said his next plan was to build a maternity clinic for the village.
According to him, the centre was named after Aisha because of “her commitment to women and child development.”
Aisha’s honour comes just days after she begged Nigerians to work with President Muhammadu Buhari, to rescue the country’s dwindling economy.
