NASS Crisis: Solution on the way – says Tambuwal
The crisis rocking the National Assembly and All Progressive Congress will soon come to an end, says Tambuwal.
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, who is presently heading the peace committee set up by the All Progressive Congress Governors to liaise with the leaders of the House of Representative in order to resolve the leadership crisis rocking the House, assured that every thing will soon come back to normal.
The Sokoto state Governor, after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari said, the meeting was peaceful and successful. Soonest, peace will be restored back both at the party and at the National Assembly.
When asked about the fate of Gbajabiamila group over the remaining four principal offices, Tambuwal refused to disclose the detail report of the meeting, he said, he cannot pre-empt any outcome, but he assured of peaceful and balance resolution.
More so, when commenting on the rumor that he allegedly defied his party to emerge the Speaker of the House in 2011, which is now the main cause of the present crisis at the National Assembly, the former Speaker said, the lawmakers are old enough to make better decisions, and to know what is best for their party and for Nigeria as a whole.
He however, assured that, they will continue to support President Muhammodu Buhari’s administration to deliver all the promises made to Nigeria
