PDP PLANNED PROTEST TURNS TO SOLIDARITY MARCH IN SUPPORT OF

The PDP suffered another round of rejection today as the people of Osun trooped out to March on the popular Orita Olaiya in support of Ogbeni.
The PDP had made so much fuss about a planned protest today. Omisore had yesterday threatened to make the State ungovernable for Aregbesola in a clear misreading of Aregbesola’s popularity. The treasonable statement by the roundly defeated former PDP Governorship candidate apparently irked the vast majority of Osogbo residents who decided to troop out and march in support of Ogbeni.

The PDP plans suffered it’s first setback when the NLC and entire Osun workers denounced the the planned protest and condemn politicians that are using their plight for political gains. The PDP plans was further perforated when the House of Assembly announced that they were not ready to treat anti Aregbesola petition the party wanted to use as facade.

Omisore had promised his supporters that he would mobilise 500,000 persons to March on Orita ola iya today. Osun residents wondered that if he has such phantom support whether he would have lost to APC. Traders, drivers and artesans where seen hailing Ogbeni at every turn and junctions in the town as rode to his Abere Secretariat Office today.

In a last ditch efforts to rescue it’s failed plans. PDP mobilised it’s thugs that visited violence on the pro Aregbesola March, several rounds of guns were fired into the air while people were beaten with stick and cutlasses. One of the protesters Onaolapo Abass narrated his experience and wounds on his Facebook wall while expressing the determination of Osun to continue to support for Ogbeni.

Many of the pro Aregbesola protesters wondered why the stigmatisation of Osun by PDP as a National malady foisted on Nigeria by the PDP.

Today’s events have further validates Ogbeni’s closeness to the hearts of the masses of Osun.
