- The Chief Engineer shall have a valid CoC Chief Engineer, issued by Flag state with a minimum working experience of 7 years under the capacity with a documented minimum 24 month practical experience as Second Engineer as shown on the discharge booklet.
- He will also have documented good all-round competence relating to the platforms, different systems with particular emphasis on all technical system.
- Fluent in written/oral English language.
- He will also be expected to supervise the activities of marine engine technicians engaged in the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical marine vessels, and inspect their work to ensure that it is performed properly.
